June 27, 2025

Barbeque teams host private parties on Friday. Admission is $5 at the gate. The public is encouraged to enjoy the atmosphere, live music and kids' activities on Friday. Food and drinks are available for purchase from the concession area.

Community & Private Parties

4:30–11 p.m. | Event open to the public

- Admission: $5 cash (kids 12 & under free)
- Free shuttle service from the business park at 95th & Lackman (approx. every 10 minutes)
- Food & drinks available for purchase from vendors
- Private parties may bring their own food; team captains may bring alcohol during check-in before the event opens to the public
- Free kids' activities: 4:30–9 p.m. (face painters, balloon artists, GaGa Ball and bounce houses)
- Live music by The Stolen Winnebagos: 6:30–10 p.m.

Teams typically host private parties on Friday night. The public is welcome to stroll the park and enjoy the band and children's activities. Food and drink items are available for purchase.

June 28, 2025

Saturday is competition day. Teams busily prepare their long cooks and work on their short cooks. Judging begins at 11:30 a.m. and results shared around 4:30 p.m. Competition day is focused on the contest. Activities for kids will be available.

9–3 p.m. | Competition and judging take place throughout the day.

Please note:

- Sanctioned judging is closed to the public.
- Park visitors are welcome to on-site kids’ activities and to eat at the K&C food truck.

4:30 p.m. | Awards ceremony – Recognition for top teams.
