Hale Senior Activity Center

Beginners/novice (Class D) through masters welcome! Learn, enjoy, share and improve your skills with like-minded enthusiasts. Led by Mickey Frakes with over 50 years of playing chess and belonging to chess clubs. Learn opening moves, endgame tactics, winning chess and how the pieces move.

Healthy Steps for Older Adults

Hale Senior Activity Center

This community-based fall risk screening and education program addresses proper footwear, safety at home, good nutrition for bone health and the importance of exercise to prevent falls. The program also includes information on local fitness programs and at-home exercises designed to reduce the risk of falling.

Free to attend thanks to funding from the Administration for Community Living. Space is limited. Call (727) 379-2473 to reserve your spot.

Learn to face the challenge of prediabetes and diabetes while continuing to enjoy a fulfilling life. Join Mary Gynn, RN, MPH, CDE, ADCES a diabetes educator as she presents sound advice and offers reference materials to assist you on your journey to better health.
