Montanans are hearing that Sheehy lied about a gunshot wound he claims was from Afghanistan and that he falsely claimed he was medically discharged from the military

Sheehy’s military lies continue to be front and center in newspapers and radio across the state:

  • Montana Public Radio: “There's just been so much of it and so much that doesn't add up. It's actually kind of hard to keep track of everything that's out there on Sheehy. And Sheehy has done so little to respond effectively to it [...] this stuff reflects poorly on Sheehy. I just don't see any way of getting around that. And again, 10 years ago you could probably take any of, say, a half dozen of these things and they very well could have been the end of the road for Sheehy.”

  • Belgrade News: “There have been recent media reports and Democratic campaign ads questioning the financial success of Bridger Aerospace and Sheehy’s account of being shot while serving in Afghanistan [...] Bridger Aerospace (Nasdaq: BAER) lost $30.1 million on $18.5 million in revenue in the first half of 2024. Its stock is down 49% so far this year, according to Google Finance. That comes in a time when U.S. stock markets have been hitting record highs.”

  • Daily Inter Lake: “Sheehy has made his military service central to his campaign. But, when Sheehy left active duty in 2014,?records show he was discharged with an ‘involuntary separation’ after failing to earn promotion to the next rank.”
