This year Historic Albany Foundation is pleased to announce our very first architecturally-themed calendar! Each month showcases an original piece from one of our previous #BUILT art shows - and we can even mail it to you/your family members/friends. Know someone who has moved away and is missing Albany? Why not send them a calendar so they can look at the cities wonderful architecture year round! Calendars can be purchased here.  

We also have notecards, books, and t-shirts for sale in our Warehouse (open today 12-6 pm, tomorrow 9-4 pm). Get a head start on your holiday shopping whilst supporting preservation in Albany!

Back by popular demand, Richard Daley will be repeating his sold-out workshop on Wed 30th from 5.30-7pm at our offices (89 Lexington Ave, Albany NY 12206). All attendees will receive a packet of seed mix containing 27 different annual and perennial wildflowers. This is a free workshop but it is essential to book in advance.

Photo Restoration Workshop

Sat Dec 10th, 12-1.30 pm

Workshop participants will learn how to collect and organize photos, the benefits of restoration, types of scanners, how to use photos as a genealogy display, and framing and matting. Please bring your photos.
**10% discount on first restoration for attendees**

What's New in the Warehouse?

Rare Baths!

No, not us. We bathe regularly, we’ll have you know. We’re referring, rather, to clawfoots of uncommon size. 

While many people seek the extra-long “Lincoln bathtubs” that measure six feet long, some folks have smaller frames or cozier spaces. That’s where these gems come in. 

Here, Dave is seen cleaning the short and narrow bathtub, which measures 4 1/2 feet long by 25 inches wide and the typical 17 deep.

The other tub is the shortest at 4 feet but still measures the more common 30 inches wide and 17 deep.

These sizes at our not-for-profit prices won’t last long!

The Warehouse will be open next week (Fri 25th, 12-6 pm, Sat 26th, 9-4 pm) Our Black Friday sales last the whole weekend, and are below:

2023 National Grants Now Available!
African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund

"Today, the National Trust’s African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund opened the Letter of Intent (LOI) period for its 2023 National Grant Program. Grants provide a range of funding from $50,000 to $150,000 for ongoing preservation activities for historic places like sites, museums and landscapes that represent African American cultural heritage.
