From: Honey Harvest FestivalOur 4th annual Honey Harvest Festival is dedicated to celebrating honey and the important role bees and other pollinators play in our ecosystem.
Activities include a honey tasting, a honey harvest demo, crafts, lawn games, a marketplace featuring local vendors & artisans, food trucks, and music!
Schedule of Events:
11:30-Discussion: Learn the basic about beekeeping and honey bees with Beekeeper and best selling author, Howland Blackiston.
12:30-Discussion: Get into the Beekeeping weeds with EAS Master Beekeeper, Bill Hesbach.
1:00-Honey Tasting / Q&A: Members-only honey tasting with author and apiculturist C. Marina Marchese. Limited seating.
Noon and 2:00 pm-Critter Habitat Walk: Join Environmental Education Specialist, James Flynn for an hour long hike exploring the Bartlett’s wetland, forest, and meadow habitats. sneakers or closed to shoes highly recommended!
Noon and 2:00 pm-Tree Tours: Join Master Gardener and long-time Bartlett volunteer for a light walk exploring and learning the story of the majestic Champion and notable trees of the Bartlett. One hour.
2:00 pm: Live honey harvest!
