Honey Harvest Festival is a community event celebrating bees and other pollinators important role in our ecosystem.
Activities include a honey tasting, a honey harvest demo, crafts, lawn games, a marketplace featuring local vendors and artisans, food trucks, and music.

11:30 am-12:30 pm Best Practices for Safely Inspecting a Beehive with Howland Blackiston.  
Author of Beekeeping for Dummies.  
Location: Silver Education Center, Adult Classroom.

12:00 pm-1:00 pm: A Year in the Life of a Honey Bee with Dr.Tim Martin-All ages.
Dr. Martin, a Master Beeper and co-founder of Millbrook Honey, is a science teacher at West Hill High School where he runs the Beekeeping Club.

12:30 pm-1:30 pm: How to and why Pollen Collection with Wing Dance Apiary’s Bill Hesbach.
Bill is an EAS Certified Master Beekeeper
Location: Silver Education Center. Adult Classroom

1:00 pm-2:00 pm:  Honey Tasting and QandA.
Members-only honey tasting with author and apiculturist C. Marina Marchese. Limited seating. Registration required.
Silver Education Building. Children’s Classroom

2:00 pm-3:00 pm: Honey Harvest Demonstration. All ages.
After a long busy season for the bees, it’s time to extract the honey from the comb. Join us in the Adult classroom to watch the sticky process live
Location: Silver Education Center. Adult Classroom.

Walks, Tours and Live Music on the Great Lawn:

Noon-1:00 pm: Pollinator Quest: Where do Pollinators Live. All ages.
Walk and Talk. Join Bartlett Environmental Education Specialist, James Flynn, for a walk that is sure to cause a BUZZ. The Bartlett, by design, is home to millions of pollinators. Where do they live. How do they survive. What can you do to make pollinators thrive at home. Good walking shoes required. Sneakers or closed to shoes highly recommended.

1:00 pm-3:00 pm: Live Music by Bookends Band
A song list full of surprises and gems from the 70's topped by a healthy dose of their own great, original music. No gimmicks, no hype, just great songs played very, very well.

Noon and 2:00 pm-Tree Tours: All ages
Join Master Gardener and long-time Bartlett volunteers Dawn Fiss and Annea Rosenberg for a light walk exploring and learning the story of the majestic Champion and notable trees of the Bartlett. One hour.

2:00 pm: Pollinator Plants: What, When, Where. All ages.
Join Bartlett Educator, Josh Appel for a pollinator plant walk through some of the Bartlett’s pollinator gardens. One hour.  

All Day: Brews, Mead, Food Trucks, Kids’ Crafts, Face Painting, Artisans, Vendor Booths and much more.
