Local Heroes 4th of July Celebration

Sunday, July 2, 2023
8-10am: North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District Flag Raising & Pancake Breakfast
Kick off the Local Heroes Celebration with NLTFD and your community for breakfast before the parade at the main Firehouse on Tanager. The parade begins immediately after breakfast.

Location: North Lake Tahoe Fire Prevention District

10am: Kid’s Bike Parade and Local Heroes Parade
Join us for a hometown parade in Incline Village! This local event invites the entire community and visitors to celebrate by being IN the parade or being a spectator. The best viewing is on Southwood across from Incline Bowl and on Incline Way by Incline Middle School, Parasol Building, and in front of the Rec Center and the Village Green.

Themed Local heroes Veterans, military personnel, firefighters, peace officers, teachers, health care, and other community workers are represented. Don’t forget parents; superheroes are welcome too!

Be in the parade! Types of entries include floats, classic cars, walking groups, street performers, musical groups, county, fire department, and sheriff’s office vehicles…. all are welcome.

Participants and groups of all kinds are welcome! Schools, youth groups, service clubs, nonprofits, car clubs, Veteran and military groups, your neighborhood friends. Email [email protected] with questions.

11am-3:00pm: Local Heroes Community Fair and WCSO Meet & Greet
Join us for carnival games, information booths, and freebies from various nonprofits, businesses, and service clubs. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office vehicles will be on display for their annual Meet and Greet with Sheriff Balaam. Incline High school sport teams and Interact Club will run carnival games supplied by IVGID.

Organization/Business Participation Opportunity

Any organization or business that wants to meet community members and visitors is welcome to participate. Provide an activity, free refreshments, and information!

Fees: Registration is $75 if you have your own 10×10-foot tent. IVCBA will provide a 10×10 tent for an additional $75.

11am - 3:00pm: Highlander Pride Backyard BBQ
Join Highlander Pride for a Backyard BBQ, with beer, to support all Incine High athletics and athletes at Aspen Grove during the Local Heroes Community Fair.

For this fundraiser, all IHS Athletic Coaches have agreed to participate! They will be your Backyard BBQ Cooks, along with the support of student-athletes. Venmo and cash only.

Monday, July 3, 2023
12:00pm: Veterans Recognition Lunch
A tribute to veterans and active duty personnel with a lunch in their honor. Tickets for guests will be sold at the gate. Veterans are FREE!

Location: Aspen Grove

Dusk: Flag Retirement Ceremony
All are welcome to bring old and worn flags to retire in the traditional manner with a ceremonial retirement opportunity.

Location: The Village Green

Tuesday, July 4, 2023
8am - 12pm: Veterans Club Pancake Breakfast
Enjoy Pancakes, bacon, sausage, and blueberries, plus optional mimosas and bloody marys to support local Veterans!

Location: Aspen Grove

Tickets:
$10 - Adults - Ages 12 & up;
$5 - Ages 6-11;
Free - 5 & under.

7:00pm - 11:00pm: July 4th SkyShow
The 4th of July 2023 SkyShow is bigger and brighter than before!

7:00pm – 10:30pm: Incline Village Ridgeline Ball Fields

7:00pm: Seating opens on Ball Fields 1 and 2 (see event layout below)

DJ music, crowd entertainment, activities, and U.S. Trivia with MC Uncle E

Food trucks and Beer Garden

9:30pm: Laser show, followed immediately by the Drone Show – bigger and brighter!

Bring your blankets, beach chairs, picnic baskets, and coolers *Help Keep Tahoe Blue: No glass please. Take your trash and recycling with you.*

Reduce Traffic – Walk, Bike, or Drive

Park & Walk lots: Incline Middle School, Parasol, IVGID Recreation Center, Travel North Tahoe Nevada Welcome Center, The Chateau

Shuttle lots: The Chateau, Diamond Peak lower lot
