Thursday, June 13, 2024:
6pm - 8pm: Late Night at the FIA: Juneteenth Community Social
Featuring DJ Alex Kadie, light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. The galleries, Museum Shop, and Palette Cafe will be open all evening.
Saturday, June 15, 2024:
10am - 4pm: Juneteenth Celebration
The FIA is honored to join Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium in partnering with the Traditional Flint Juneteenth Committee to host one epic block party as we close down Kearsley Street and open up our lawns for a powerful community event. Art activities for all ages begin at 10a, rain or shine!
Wednesday, June 19, 2024:
12:15pm - 1:30pm: Art a la Carte Film - Black America Since MLK: and Still I Rise
In the first part of his four hour series, Black America Since MLK: And Still I Rise, Henry Louis Gates, Jr. embarks on a deeply personal journey through the last 50 years of African American history.
