From: Kerrytown Concert HouseDear Friends of Kerrytown Concert House,
Summer greetings to you wherever you are! I certainly hope that you are enjoying a delightful and restorative summer season this year with vacations, lake and pool time, outdoor concerts and special events with friends and family.
Though the summer months at Kerrytown Concert House are mostly an exciting time of planning our next concert season ("sneak peaks" are peppered throughout this email), this past weekend, the KCH halls were ringing with great music by world-class artists who live right in our own neighborhood! On Friday night, we heard a beautifully crafted classical flute and guitar program performed by flutist Emily Olson and guitarist Brad DaRoche. On Saturday night, jazz bassist Paul Keller made a wonderful “House Call” with Keller/Kocher & Friends to celebrate music from the Wizard of Oz and more. And Sunday evening brought a delightful Kaleidoscope presentation by harpist Maurice Draughn and pianist Tyler Driskill in an innovative piano/harp program that offered flavors of jazz, broadway and gospel music. The “halls” were alive with music and many of you were in attendance! THANK YOU!
We were happy to provide this musical oasis last weekend because July brings about an otherwise different kind of busy here at KCH. At this point in the summer, we move out of our usually active concert schedule and into an exciting, strategic and creative planning period. We have a great 23/24 concert season in store for you and we are busy collecting artist’s materials and adding them to our website and ticketing platform as we go - earlier than ever! Keep an eye on our website, save those dates, and if you like, get a jump start on securing your tickets!
While we are thick in the middle of planning for next season, it also seems appropriate and important to take a moment to stop and thank you for giving such tremendous support to KCH during our last concert season! Your 22/23 concert attendance, concert sponsorships, program ads and donations helped us offer music lovers the rare opportunity to enjoy exceptional musicianship in this cozy, inclusive, historical space. THANK YOU!
We invite you to the House this coming season, not just to hear our extraordinary concerts, but also to make meaningful connections with the amazing artists who grace our stage!
Attending concerts at KCH is also an opportunity to engage with other community members who share a passion for the eclectic mix of classical, jazz, cabaret, world, and experimental music we program. In fact, we often here from audiences and artists alike that being at KCH inspires a sense of "coming home."
We expect to give a more complete 23/24 “season reveal” in August, but until then, stay tuned to our website to watch the coming season unfold, and make your plans to "come home" to the House soon!
