Lexington is excited to announce the return of our Fourth of July celebration! We invite you to join us as we celebrate our nation’s birthday.

Saturday, July 1, 2023 | 5:30 – 9  p.m.

Kick off the festivities and spend a beautiful summer night with family and friends enjoying the tunes of local blues legend Tee Dee Young! Willie Eames will get things started and food trucks and cold drinks will be available for purchase!

Sweeten up the holiday weekend with a cool treat, live music and children's activities!

Patriotic Concert

Preshow: 5 – 7 p.m.
Main show: 7:30 p.m. | Lexington Philharmonic

Spend the Fourth of July eve with the Lexington Philharmonic and a thoughtful program celebrating America.  

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and a picnic or enjoy dinner from a variety of food trucks.

Bluegrass 10,000 and Fun Run

Tuesday, July 4, 2023 | BG10K at 7:25 a.m. and Fun Run at 8:30 a.m.

Ready, set, sign up! Kick off the Fourth of July at the 47th annual Bluegrass 10,000 and Fun Run. Cheer on the runners or get in on the action by running the 10K or 1-mile Fun Run. You can still register for the wheelchair, 10K, Fun Run or virtual race options.

Tuesday, July 4, 2023 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Enjoy live music and children’s activities, or shop for arts and crafts and get a good spot to watch the parade. Food and beverage vendors will be on-site to help with your lunchtime needs. Festivities take place before and after the parade.

Fourth of July Parade
Main Street (downtown)
Tuesday, July 4, 2023 | noon 

The Fourth of July parade steps off at noon and will move down Main Street from Midland to Mill Street. There will be plenty of red, white and blue to get everyone in the patriotic spirit.

Enjoy the parade from the sideline, or register ahead of time if you wish to participate.

Tuesday, July 4, 2023 | 10 p.m. 

Close out your Fourth of July celebration with a bang! The fireworks extravaganza will start at approximately 10 p.m.
