Library Card Sign-Up Month: Connetquot Public Library

Schools and Libraries

September 10, 2025

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month.  When you have a library card, a world of resources is at your fingertips.  Whether you visit us in person or access our online resources, the library offers a wide range of materials, including books, periodicals, online databases, scholastic and employment resources, homework help, and more.  For returning students, a library card is a central item on any school supply list. The joy of seeing our youngest members receive their very own card marks an essential pathway to early literacy and learning, fostering a lifelong love of knowledge. At any age, a library cultivates community and connection, friendship and family, education and enjoyment.

Every quarter, Connetquot Public Library compiles a comprehensive newsletter of classes and events. These programs and classes include Arts & Crafts, Music, Cooking, Family and Local History, Fitness, Games, Health & Wellness, Languages, Lectures, Professional Development, Technology, Parenting, as well as tailored programs for Early Childhood, School Age, Teens, and Families.  The newsletters are mailed to members' homes or may be obtained by visiting the library or accessing it through the library’s website.  For additional information on obtaining a library card district residents may visit www.connetquotlibrary.org/services/. Please explore our website or drop in for a visit to see what your library card can do for you. The library offers a wide variety of registered programs for district residents but our unregistered programs are open for all to enjoy!
