Six Spectacular Operas
- Don Giovanni - When his latest conquest ends in murder, a suave Don Juan is forced to face the music in Mozart's darkly funny drama.
- The Barber of Seville - Fan-favorite melodies abound in this hilarious tale of young love. Count Almaviva is ready to sweep Rosina off her feet...if he can outsmart her greedy guardian. Luckily, Figaro has a plan.
- El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego - Mexico’s most iconic artists (and infamously stormy lovers) reunite in this acclaimed new operatic portrait that The New Yorker calls “ visually seductive.”
- Highway 1, USA/The Dwarf - The Recovered Voices project returns with the LA premiere of all-American drama Highway 1, USA and an operatic take on Oscar Wilde's tale of unrequited love in The Dwarf.
- La Traviata - A courtesan leaves life in the fast lane and takes a chance on true love in this vibrant new version of Verdi's classic.
- Turandot - Love, loss, and the iconic Nessun Dorma: see Puccini's grand opera in a blockbuster production with sets by pop artist David Hockney.
Concerts, Recitals, and Our Eclectic Off-Grand Series
- The Bride of Frankenstein - The camp-horror classic is back on the big screen this Halloween weekend, with Franz Waxman’s original score played live by the LA Opera Orchestra.
- Rodelinda - The all-stars of Baroque are back! The English Concert return to LA with Handel's thrilling tale of royal intrigue on November 21.
- Audra McDonald in Concert - The iconic six-time Tony Award winner takes the stage for a one-night-only performance.
- The Book of Mountains and Seas - Composer Huang Ruo and puppeteer Basil Twist reimagine Chinese mythology for the 21st century.
- Patti LuPone in Concert - The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion hosts Broadway's reigning diva for a one-night-only appearance.
- Fire and Blue Sky - The world premiere of an emotional new piece by Joel Thompson, written for and performed by Russell Thomas.
- Renée Fleming in Recital - The living legend herself closes out the season with a thrilling evening of song.
