The City of Loveland will hold its annual Independence Day Celebration on July 4, 2023. All activities are free.
Schedule:
3:00pm - 6:00pm: Concert and Cornhole - Jackson Street Market
Start the festivities by joining in the cornhole tournament! Live music by Thing1Thing2.
Kid Zone - 4 to 6:30pm: Nisbet Park
Fun is planned for kids of all ages:
- Meet an FC Cincinnati player
- Games
- Reptile petting zoo
- The Loveland Frog, princesses and superheroes
- Loveland High School Robotics Team
- Martial arts and dance/gymnastics demos
- Photo opportunities
- SURPRISE live entertainment
- And more!
Lawn Games - 4 to 6:30pm: Fountain Greene (Near Fleet Feet)
NEST Community Learning Center will host lawn games.
Yankee Doodle Dog Show - 4pm: Nisbet Park
Dress Fido in his best red, white, and blue! Meet at 3:45 p.m. at the Clock Tower in Downtown Loveland (near the Bike Trail crossing). Dogs will parade toward Nisbet Park at 4 p.m. Three dogs will be selected as best-dressed winners and will receive a prize basket from Pet Wants! *Dogs must be friendly in crowds and remain on leash.
Water Zone - 4 to 8pm: City Hall Lawn
Cool off in front of City Hall! There will be a giant inflatable water slide and misting fans, plus a splash station for little ones.
Food Trucks - 4 to 10pm
Food truck vendors will be available throughout the downtown area. Try out AJ’s Cheesesteaks,
SEA Cuisine, Smokin Bark BBQ, Fabulous Funnel Cakes and More, Kabobske, Servatti’s Pretzels, Steak It Eazy, Street Fried, and StreetPops.
Bingo - 5pm and 8:30pm: City Hall
Take a break from the heat to play a few cards of bingo! Am afternoon and evening session will be held. Prizes for game winners. Monetary donations will be accepted with all proceeds going toward the Ben Morrison Memorial Fund, which provides scholarships to Loveland High School seniors.
Kids’ Bike Contest - 6:15pm: Loveland Elementary School
Decorate your bike/scooter/tricycle for the holiday, and meet at Loveland Elementary School (600 Loveland-Madeira Road) to take part in this annual tradition. Kids will gather and then take part in the parade at 7pm. Trailside Provisions has donated prizes for the top 3 entries!
Parade - 7pm
The parade will leave from Loveland Elementary School (600 Loveland-Madeira Road), turn on West Loveland Avenue, and travel through the downtown district, ending at the intersection of State Route 48 and East Loveland Avenue. If you or your organization would like to be in the parade, please register online by June 20.
Concert - 8 to 10pm: Nisbet Park
Pandora Effect will perform at the Nisbet Park Amphitheater. Pandora Effect is a dynamic, six-piece rock cover band who expertly recreate some of the greatest music ever recorded. From Janis Joplin to Journey and Stevie Wonder to Scorpions, they’ll keep you dancing and moving all evening long!
Pie Eating Contest - 8:30pm: Little Miami Conservancy at Nisbet Park
Serving up a slice of Americana! Get ready for some old-fashioned fun. Show your patriotism…by stuffing your face with pie! No hands allowed. This is a new activity, and we have created an online signup to help gauge interest. Please pre-register if you would like to participate. Not interested in participating? Come watch - contestants need you to cheer them on!
Fireworks - 10pm
Downtown Loveland will be the best place to view the show, as the fireworks will be staged from Kiwanis Park. *The Matt Haverkamp Foundation Dog Park (located at Kiwanis Park) will close at noon on July 4 to allow for event prep.
