The Labor and Housing Committee will hear LD 1964, An Act to Implement the Recommendations of the Commission to Develop a Paid Family and Medical Leave Benefits Program, on May 25 at 1:00 - and there are so many ways for you to be involved.

You can submit testimony in person, over Zoom, or *anytime* before the hearing! We have the tools and resources to help you decide.
There are many ways to get involved! Let us know if you plan to attend the State House on May 25, so we can be sure to have enough food and support available.
Read the Bill
The bill includes:
- Leave for a new baby, caring for ones self or family member, safe leave, and certain military delplyment needs.
- Leave for all workers, including full-time, part-time, temporary and seasonal workers.
- Funds for the program are split between employers and employees. This wage contribution is .5% or less for the employee and employer.
- A tiered wage replacement that is capped at the state’s average weekly wage.
- 12-week maximum limit for a particular qualifying need.
