Manitou Days is a three-week summer festival showcasing the great lakeside community of White Bear Lake. For 50+ years this annual summer ritual has been a favorite of locals and visitors.

The fun kicks-off with Marketfest and ends on the Fourth of July with a spectacular fireworks display to music over the lake. Festival highlights include the Grande Parade, the Beach Dance, Medallion Hunt, Kiddie Parade, Community Garage Sale, and more.

Build a sand castle. Enter a fishing contest. Shop Downtown White Bear Lake. Hunt for a medallion. Dance under the stars. Watch fireworks on the beach. With so many fantastic events, there is something for everyone!

June 14, 2025

8:00 am - 1:00 pm - Manitou Days Community Garage Sale

Community garage sale with over 100 sellers. Food and beverage stand proceeds go towards supporting our local food shelf and to help provide backpacks / school supplies for our local schools. Additional food and beverage trucks are also at the event. Inflatable slides, jumpers, and a maze are available for the enjoyment of our younger attendees.

Sellers – $15 per selling space. A selling space consists of two standard size parking spots. Buyers and Visitors – Free

Take a step back into history with White Bear Lake Area Historical Society's brand new exhibit. X Marks the Spot! Together, we'll explore 10 pivotal moments around the Lake Area that made history in our community through interactive displays and activities.

Marketfest is a summer festival in beautiful downtown White Bear Lake that runs from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Thursdays mid June through the end of July.

6:00 pm - 7:30 pm - Kiddie Parade

Join us at 6:00 pm for the Marketfest Kiddie Parade, a family favorite on the opening night of Marketfest. Kids, parents, & families are invited to decorate a stroller, trike, bike, wagon, or yourself, and then walk through the streets of Marketfest ending at Sweetlife Lane Candy Store! The parade lineup will begin at the corner of 4th St and Washington Ave at 6:15 p.m., and the parade will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Celebrating "Bears Making History" our Grande Parade highlights include floats, musical groups and marching sections from a variety of local businesses and organizations. For safety reasons, spectators must stay on the curb, sidewalks or paved trail.

8:00 pm - 11:00 pm - Manitou Days Beach Dance

Grab a blanket or a chair, and come enjoy great live music and dance with us under the stars! Music will be provided by Free & Easy Band. Food and beverages (water, soda, beer, wine) will be available for purchase. Must be 21 or older to purchase alcohol. The Beach Dance follows the Manitou Days Grand Parade. www.manitoudays.com Tickets are $10 in advance, or $15 at the gate. Free admissions to kids aged 10 and under. The Manitou Days Beach Dance is sponsored by Explore White Bear, White Bear Lake Rotary Club, and White Bear Lake Superstore. Funds raised from this event will benefit the community projects of White Bear Lake Rotary Club. It also will help underwrite marketing of our community through Explore White Bear all benefiting the Greater White Bear Lake Area.

As we celebrate Manitou Days and our amazing COMMUNITY, let's enjoy a day of fishing, family fun, and outdoor adventure! Celebrate Manitou Days, Yogadevotion style! Please join us at Memorial Beach for the annual fundraiser for the White Bear Lake Area Food Shelf. We will center ourselves into a lovely lake vibe and practice presence in the beauty of nature. Please bring a $10+ donation for the White Bear Lake Area Food Shelf. Check in at 8:30 am, practice begins at 9:00. Please RSVP so we know you are coming. If it rains, we will cancel. No rain date is set.

10:00 am - 12:00 pm - Sand Castles and Creatures

Gather your family and friends to build an original sandcastle, sand creature, or sand sculpture at the Sandcastles and Creatures Building Contest as part of Manitou Days. The contest is held every year at Memorial Beach by West Park on Lake Avenue in White Bear Lake. Registration begins at 10 AM with judging and prizes at 12 Noon. Bring your own shovels, buckets, and sand carving tools. This free annual event is sponsored by White Bear Center for the Arts.

Pickleball mixer, players are given a number and games are assigned by a number chart. We do not record your scores. This is for intermediate and advanced players, 2 sessions, 4:00 p.m. to 5:55 p.m. and/or 6:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. Sorry no beginner play at either times. Limited to 28 players, rally scoring to 11 or 12 minutes of play, then a short break then on to the next game.

FREE Water Ski Show. The Ski Otters are celebrating 30yrs of ski shows on Goose Lake. Come sit back and enjoy a fully scripted, narrated, costumed production of "Otter Time Fitness" as you watch the crazy antics and story unfold of our water ski fitness gym trying to keep up with technology! Through our collection of photos, records and artifacts we will peel away the layers of local lore and dive into what we know about each topic. June 24: Bears on the Go! Smarte Carte and other fabulous inventions that keep people moving came out of White Bear. Let's chat about how something from our community has changed the way people travel across the globe.

Join the City of White Bear Lake and the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society to unveil a brand new monument in honor of Gerry Spiess' historic accomplishment – sailing across the Atlantic and Pacific in a 10-foot sailboat. The event will take place from 5pm – 6pm with brief remarks from Mayor Dan Louismet, Executive Director of WBLAHS Sara Hanson, and former Channel 5 reporter Jason Davis at 5:30pm.

8:00 am - 12:00 pm - 2025 WBLCD Lake Clean Up

Community members are invited to help protect and preserve the waters of White Bear Lake by getting out on the Lake in a watercraft –canoe, kayak, rowboat, paddleboard, motorboat– or walking along a public shoreline to pick up trash. Participants are encouraged to take a photo of the trash they collect and tag us on social media (WBLCD on Facebook or WBLConservationDistrict on Instagram) with #MDCleanUp or email it to the WBLCD ([email protected]). Participants will dispose of the trash in a proper waste receptacle.

Do you love jigsaw puzzles? How about historic photos? Then this is the event for you! Grab your friends or come with your family for a fun and lively puzzle competition with a special photo from the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society's archive! This competition is for teams of 4 and will feature a 500-piece puzzle. Prizes will be awarded to teams who place in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. All teams get to keep their competition puzzle

Sprint and Olympic distance triathlon. Sprint – .5 mile swim, 13.8 mile bike, 3.1 mile run. Olympic- 1 mile swim, 27 mile bike, 6.2 mile run. BBQ and awards ceremony at the finish line. Custom finisher medals and free professional photography. Prices vary by distance.

9:00 am - 11:00 am - Keegan's 5K for Craniosynostosis Awareness

Join us for our 13th annual 5K fun walk/run along the beautiful White Bear Lake! Our son was born with craniosynostosis and had major skull surgery at 4 months of age to reshape the skull and allow his brain to grow properly. Our race was started to raise awareness of this condition, which occurs in 1:2500 births. All of our proceeds go to the Cranio Care Bears, a nonprofit org that mails care packages to children before their cranio surgeries. We can't wait to see you there!!

4th of July Fireworks over the lake.

4th of July at the lake! 8 PM in West Park is the Shoreview Northern Lights Variety Band, followed by a flyover of the WWII North American AT-6 at 8:30 PM The night ends with a spectacular fireworks display at 10 PM.
