With more than two weeks left, Democratic enthusiasm powers unprecedented field operation

Baltimore, MD – In one of the largest weeks on record, the Maryland Democratic Party reported over a half million voter contact attempts between phones and doors.

“The momentum we’re seeing is fueling the most expansive field operation we’ve ever built,” said Karen Darkes, Executive Director of the Maryland Democratic Party. “Democrats are energized and it is translating into record-breaking voter outreach across the state.”

The Maryland Democratic Party reported knocking over 70,000 doors and over a half a million phone calls to targeted voters. That effort was bolstered by over 1 million texts sent to voters in the same period.

The surging turnout this weekend signals strong enthusiasm among Democrats as voters on the eve of early voting in the state. This cycle, the Maryland Democratic Party has built the largest coordinated campaign in state history, with the aim of harnessing this unprecedented momentum and translating it into victories for Democrats up and down the ballot on Election Day.
