6:00 pm - 10:00 pm : Cask and Barrel Night

This high-end event is for those with discriminating tastes. We’ll still have the whiskey and craft beer you love, but this year we’re also featuring other spirits! Your $65 ticket includes tastings of high quality spirits (over 40 options), unlimited 3 oz. tastes of craft beer from local breweries, commemorative tasting glass, and appetizers. Enjoy the live music, cigar lounge, and more.

The Ultimate Van Halen Experience! Covering all the hits along with some deep cut surprises from both David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar eras, 5184 cranks the amps with the electrifying sound of Van Halen - wild solos, rock swagger, and all.

9:00pm : SHADY: A Live Band Tribute to the Music of Eminem

Lose yourself in the music.  SHADY: A Live Band Tribute to the Music of Eminem delivers the raw energy, lyrical fire, and iconic beats of one of hip hop’s greatest.

5:00 pm - 11:00 pm : Carnival

RC Racing - Compete with your friends racing an RC car around the giant 28’L banked oval speedway. Each participant races using a full size steering wheel and shift column. Just like real racing, you get the spectacular crashes, the high-speed spinouts and the bumping and rubbing of real stock car racing. Please note: there is a cost to race.

Yard Games - FREE family-friendly yard games like cornhole, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, and more inside the gate!

8:00 am : Lakefront 5K and Kids Fun Run - Petersen Park Beach

Check-in from 7:00 am – 7:45 am

Hosted by City of McHenry Parks and Recreation Department, Open to all ages. Course is chip timed. Fee includes t-shirt and swag bag. Awards will be given.

5:15pm : Southern Jack

Southern Jack takes you on a Southern-fried road trip through classic rock legends like ZZ Top, Marshall Tucker Band, Allman Brothers, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

7:30pm : How Rude!

Rewind The Clock To The Best of The ’90s. From Grunge to Pop, How Rude! covers it all! Grab your Slap Bracelets, part your hair down the middle, throw on your RAD overalls, and come party with us!

9:30pm : Material Girl

Material Girl - A Madonna Experience is the greatest Madonna tribute show in the US. Formed in 2013, Material Girl brings vocals so spot on you will think you are hearing the real Madonna in her prime. So much so, even Madonna herself said she “Loves It” at one of their 2017 performances! Backed by a full live band, the experience is nothing short of incredible. All the greatest hits from her early 80s dance hits to her later electronic masterpieces.

8:00 am - 2:30 pm : 41st Annual Car Show

The Car Show features muscle cars, street rods, old school hot rods, rat rods, custom, antique, vintage, domestic and imported cars and trucks of all kinds from all manufacturers.

5:00pm : Jimmy Nick

Jimmy Nick is an old-fashioned, guitar slinging blues prodigy who spent his teenage years being schooled by legendary bluesmen in the famous Chicago clubs of Kingston Mines, Rosa’s Lounge, and B.L.U.E.S. on Halsted.  Driven by his motown-tight band, Don’t Tell Mama, featuring saxophone, bass, and drums Jimmy excites crowds with his electrifying guitar work, fresh harp, clever lyrics and animated stage theatrics. His raw, high-octane rock and blues will get your heart racing and your feet moving. Sunday Bands Are Free (NO ticket required)

7:30pm : Fearless

Calling all SWIFTIES! We are FEARLESS!! The ULTIMATE Taylor Tribute! We celebrate all things TAYLOR - from all the chart topping HITS to her ICONIC style! Composed of some of the top musicians in CHICAGO, Fearless brings the magic of TAYLOR’s music to life with passion, energy and STYLE! Get ready to sing, dance and make your WILDEST DREAMS come true! See ya at the show! Sunday Bands Are Free (NO ticket required)

9:30 pm : Fireworks

After the last band on Sunday, we’ll light up the sky with an incredible fireworks display.  There is no charge to park or at the gate. Limited parking available, so come early!

12 pm - 4 pm : Beach Bash - Children’s Activities

Beach Bash Presented by Mercyhealth, Family Friendly Activities provided by McHenry Area Chamber businesses. Perfect for families! In addition to the bands later in the afternoon, children can enjoy activities and entertainment including inflatables, face painting, dunk tank, games and prizes. Home Depot will be providing their Kids Build-It workshop. FREE Admission Day!

3pm : Big Wheels Race

The Big Wheels Race will take place during Beach Bash Sunday near Petersen Park Beach House. Children (ages 3-5) ride their all-plastic big wheels to compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies. All children receive a participation ribbon. $5/child (registration accepted day of event)

5 pm - 9 pm : Concert in the Park / Parade Marshal Ceremony 

Bring your own lawn chair and enjoy a concert in the park.

July 19, 2025

9 am - 4 pm : Arts and Crafts in the Park - Veteran’s Memorial Park and Miller Point 

Featuring some of the Midwest’s finest hand crafters including florals, potters, photographers, woodworking, handmade jewelry, and more! 

10 am - 3 pm : Maker’s Zone Craft Stations - Veteran’s Memorial Park

FREE during Arts and Crafts in the Park. Bring the kids to the park by the playground to create and craft!

11 am : Duck Derby - Boone Creek at Green Street

The Kiwanis Duck Derby is a unique fundraising event! Each duck supports the efforts of McHenry Kiwanis in serving youth in the McHenry area. Adopt a duck and watch it float down Boone Creek at the Green Street Bridge along the Downtown Riverwalk. Only 1000 ducks are given out at this event. 

8-10am : DamYak Challenge - 202 N Riverside Dr, McHenry, IL

This 4.8-mile kayak event promotes the beauty of downtown McHenry and the Fox River and raises awareness and funds for Kids In Need McHenry County (KIN).

1:30 pm : Fiesta Days Parade

Over 2500 people come out each year to see our McHenry Fiesta Days Parade.  Receive a special “candy bag” which will be handed out to little ones on the route to collect their goodies from our parade participants!

Parade route is Main Street to Green Street to Pearl Street to Riverside Drive
