Kicking off our First Monthly Member Spotlight! 

Meet our incredible Woman of the Year, Rene Schmidt. Rene has been an active member of our group since 2020. Her dedication, leadership, and passion have made a significant impact on our community. Whether organizing volunteers, creating “club swag”, or advocating for upgrading our antiquated community service outreach... she embodies the spirit of our group. 

“I discovered the Sorosis Club while helping my daughter find places to obtain her volunteer hours. I began working with the team and found the environment free of judgment, where no one is seen as better than another, and everyone is valued and respected which was such a breath of fresh air. I love working with high school students; helping them achieve their volunteer goals. My mission is to foster a supportive community where young people are empowered to give back and realize their full potential through volunteerism. Being nominated Woman of the Year was a surprise, as many of us work equally hard, if not harder, to make this club successful. I am truly honored they nominated me and I am excited to see what else our dream team can achieve.”
