While Congressman Jared Moskowitz was busy trashing Texas and mocking law enforcement efforts on X, he couldn’t be bothered to show up for yet another vote in Washington – this time on a bipartisan bill honoring a young victim of a criminal illegal alien.
On Monday evening, the U.S. House of Representatives passed S. 1596, the Jocelyn Nungaray National Wildlife Refuge Act, by a unanimous vote of 372–0 – with Moskowitz marked “Not Voting.” The bill, introduced by Senator John Cornyn, honors a 12-year-old Texas girl who was brutally murdered by a criminal illegal alien. The bill had overwhelming bipartisan support and passed under suspension of the rules.
“While the rest of Congress came together to honor a young life stolen by the consequences of Biden’s open border policies, “Missing” Moskowitz was again nowhere to be found,” said Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power. “Jared has time to tweet, lecture, and attack Homeland Security and FEMA efforts during disasters – but apparently no time to vote in honor of a victim of a crime caused by Biden’s open borders. Florida deserves a representative who actually shows up and defends our citizens.”
This marks another absence in a growing pattern for Moskowitz, who falsely claimed on Twitter just days earlier that “there are no votes this week.” According to GovTrack, Moskowitz has one of the worst voting attendance records among Florida Democrats.
“Missing Moskowitz tweets a big game, but when it’s time to do his job, he’s MIA,” Power added.
