Calling all Goblins and Ghouls! Put on your spooky or kooky costumes and hurry to Downtown Hickory on Saturday, October 24, 2024. Bring your camera for some photo ops! Dress in your Halloween best and enter the costume contest! Join us in a Zombie Walk.

Trick or Treat on Your Downtown Streets will be from 4 pm to 5 pm. This is also the time to register for the Costume Contest. The Costume Contest registration will be at the HDDA tent located on Union Square.

The Costume Contest will be held from 5 pm to 6 pm. Three categories of costumes will be judged by the Hickory Community Theatre Guild: Ages 0-6, Ages 7-12, and Families/Groups. Prizes will be awarded.

We want to see the Zombies! Dress up in your best deadest attire and join us for a Zombie Walk under the Sails. The Zombie Walk will be from 6 pm to 6:30 pm.

The Hickory Downtown Development Association (HDDA) is a private, non-profit 501(c)6, member organization with a volunteer Board of Directors representing a broad cross-section of property owners, business owners, and citizens-at-large.

HDDA is a member of the North Carolina Main Street program with the purpose of stimulating economic development and community improvement within the context of historic preservation. HDDA addresses issues in areas of physical design, promotion and events, and business development within the boundaries of the commercial downtown district.
