From: Mushroom FestivalThe Mushroom Festival is our biggest fundraising event of the year. This festival supports our work stewarding native habitats and providing outdoor environmental education.
Event Activities
Every year, you can expect to experience things like,
A huge mushroom exhibit where you can learn about hundreds of local species
Educational talks from local experts
Edible and poisonous mushrooms display, including an expert identification table
Live music
Guided nature walks by local naturalists
Mushroom vendors
Local foods, arts, and crafts
Kids crafts and activities
Cider pressing, scarecrow contest, and hay rides!

10:45 to 11:30 – Valerie Nguyen, Fungi for the People: Mushroom bao buns with medicinal mushroom chili crisp oil and reishi tea tasting.
12pm to 12:45 – Trent Blizzard, President of North American Mycological Association: Talk on Preserving Wild Mushrooms
1:15 to 2:00 – Kristen Blizzard, Modern Forager: Cooking Demo, recipe TBA
2:30 to 3:15 – Bob Rudel, Rainforest Mushrooms: Care and Feeding of your Mushroom Kit
3:45 to 4:30 Chef David Erickson, Painting with Foods: Cooking demonstration on Mushroom canapés.
