NCGOP: Josh Stein Must Answer On Biden's Fitness For Office

Government and Politics

RALEIGH - As both First Lady Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris campaign in North Carolina this week, the North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) calls on Democrat candidate for Governor Josh Stein to tell the people of North Carolina where he stands on President Joe Biden’s fitness for office and his status as the Democrat Party’s presumptive nominee for President.

“A day after Biden’s disastrous debate performance that showed the world what we’ve been saying: President Biden is not fit for office for the next four months, let alone the next four years. Stein campaigned with the President in Raleigh, saying it was ‘great day’ to be with Joe Biden. Where does Josh Stein now stand on Biden’s fitness for office and status as the Democrats' candidate for president?”

WRAL recently reported that “some high-profile North Carolina Democrats are raising concerns about President Joe Biden — and pushing for him to show voters he’s up for the job — as calls for the president to halt his reelection efforts mount in the wake of a debate debacle.”

US Rep. Don Davis told CBS17 that Biden's performance was a "disaster" and said he needed to "step up."

Then on Monday, Gov. Roy Cooper conveniently sidestepped appearing with the First Lady in Wilmington.

BOTTOM LINE: Josh Stein can't hide behind TV ads and platitudes in press releases. He must tell North Carolina voters whether he supports Joe Biden to continue as the Democrats' nominee for President this year and state his position clearly.
