As we get ready to transition into our NEW New Canaan Library building, we want to celebrate the wonderful memories that we’ve made together at New Canaan Library so far.

Please take a moment to share your favorite New Canaan Library memory! We’ll collect everyone’s memories and bind them into a Memory Book, which will become part of the Library’s permanent collection.

We welcome writing or drawings from kids, teens, and adults! Feel free to snap a photo of your submission and email it to [email protected], drop off your submission at any of our public service desks between now and this Friday, December 16, or submit written memories here. We will continue to accept online submissions until December 31.

After over a decade of preparation, we are excited to open the NEW New Canaan Library in February 2023. To ensure that our books are on their shelves and our team is ready to deliver excellent services in our new space, we need to briefly shut our doors to prepare for the move. Our last open day in this building will be this Friday, December 16. Stop by the Library on Friday to enjoy a sweet treat in honor of this momentous day.
