Artist and Solider for Human Rights: Arthur Szyk

An exhibition on the art of Arthur Szyk - In Real Times, Arthur Szyk: Artist & Soldier for Human Rights – is currently on view at the Fairfield University Museum. Join us as Carey Mack Weber, the executive director of the Fairfield University Art Museum, presents a talk about the artist and his body of work. She will speak about the history of the exhibition, highlight select works that were created during Szyk’s time as a New Canaan resident and discuss his artistic legacy. This event is presented in partnership with the Fairfield University Art Museum. Register

Share Your Seeds!
People have shared and saved seeds for generations. For example, in the Americas Indigenous peoples selectively bred wild grasses over generations to create corn. This time-honored process is how many of our food plants came to be. Drop your seeds off at the Seed Library and we will incorporate them in the collection. You can still take seeds, too!

Join the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra to explore string instruments! Our String Quartet (Violins, Viola and Cello) are featured for this presentation. We will explore the music of Vienna, where waltzes abound along with romantic era music, and we will hear this music while enjoying the sounds of the orchestra’s string section. Bring your waltzing shoes! Try creating your own string sounds with our String Petting Zoo. Register
UNIQUE Series Concert: You've Got Styles

The UNIQUE Series is an interactive, 30-minute concert experience created for learners with special needs and their families. The concert is performed by members of Orchestra Lumos and hosted by Rami Vamos and Liz Ast, faculty at Concordia Conservatory. Rami and Liz will engage audiences with elements of music therapy and family friendly humor while making classical music accessible in a small concert setting. Register
