Join us for the annual 3 Kings Day Celebration at Wilson! The 3 Kings will be here to give gifts to children 0-18 and the library will have crafts, refreshments and other activities. In partnership with Yale Police Department, Yale Peabody Museum and Cornell Scott Hill Health Center.
Wonderful Books and Where to Find Them

Join us for a monthly story time and craft. In partnership with Yale Affinity Groups we’ll read The Walk by Winsome Bingham as we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr Day. We’ll also make a heart craft.
Find Sam the Stegosaurus

We’ll be hiding Sam the Stegosaurus inside our building. Be the first to find Sam and then complete a unique learning challenge. If you do, you’ll receive a prize donated from Yale Peabody Museum’s gift shop. Consolation prizes will also be awarded to the next three finders. Watch for our flyers and calendar posts to know the next time Sam will go into hiding.
Dance Theater of Harlem Workshop
Saturday, January 27, 2-3 pm | Stetson
This workshop will include a group dance activity and a free book for every child attending. For ages 3 and up. Workshop is free but registration is requested.

Coding Club: Powered by Girls Who Code
Wednesday, January 3, 5-6 pm | Ives
Learn to create a game using Scratch! Open to all New Haven Teens, regardless of gender. Girls Who Code Clubs encourage you to impact your community in a positive way through code. You will learn how to code from our fun online tutorials and activities that will help you build animations, games, apps, and other things that you dream up!
Queer Youth Game Space
Saturday, January 6, 2-4 pm | Ives
Come join Q+ and NHFPL Teens on the first Saturday of every month for two hours of board game fun in a respectful and inclusive environment. Pizza and snacks will be provided! Open to all teens.
Ever Chasing Alchemy
Wednesday, January 17, 2:50-3:50 pm | Ives
Join the Educational Center for the Arts Improv Group for an hour of laughter and fun. Open to teens and adults.

Library Holiday Closures:
All New Haven Free Public Library locations will be closed for New Year's Day on Monday, January 1. All locations will also be closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 15.
