From: New Canaan LibraryThe Library will be closed December 17 through mid-February
After over a decade of preparation, we are excited to open the NEW New Canaan Library in February 2023. To ensure that our books are on their shelves and our team is ready to deliver excellent services in our new space, we need to briefly shut our doors to prepare for the move.
Our last open day in this building will be Friday, December 16. We look eagerly forward to reopening in the new space in February. MORE & FAQ>>
Share Your Library Memories
Now through Friday, 12/16
Whether you’ve been coming to the Library for 50 years or have just joined, we invite you to share your favorite moments in the Library’s Memory Book! Stop by the Library between December 5-16, get your supplies, and add your voice.
In writing or with art, express your favorite memory of the current building, or share what aspect of the new library you’re especially excited about! We will then create a permanent memory book and add it to our New Canaan collection. Can't make it to the Library? Adults and children alike can email their writing or art to [email protected], or submit written memories HERE.
