Literary Luncheon 2023

We are thrilled to announce that Pulitzer Prize-winning author GERALDINE BROOKS, author of Horse, will be our featured speaker at the 2023 Literary Lunch. Based on the remarkable true story of the record-breaking thoroughbred Lexington, Horse is a novel of art and science, love and obsession, and our unfinished reckoning with racism. Geraldine Brooks is the author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel March and the international bestsellers People of the Book, Year of Wonders, The Secret Chord, and Caleb’s Crossing,

Save the Date: Our 16th Annual Literary Luncheon will be held at the Country Club of New Canaan on Thursday, November 9th at 11am-2pm. Details for purchasing Benefactor Tables will be shared soon.

Architect Max Strang and Glass House chief curator Hilary Lewis discuss Strang’s work and the influence of the Sarasota School of Architecture on his career. The talk will also highlight his multi-faceted initiative that aims to preserve, update and honor the contributions of the pioneering Florida architect Gene Leedy (1928-2018).

Sewing Project: "Victorian Crazy Quilting"

Intro to AI: ChatGPT Basics

In this beginner-friendly class, we’ll demystify ChatGPT by looking at what it is, how it operates, and some of the issues surrounding AI. We’ll also be testing out ChatGPT and have it answer questions, create poetry, write us a letter, and more.
