Enter to win and your child's creation will be celebrated at the Museum!
March 26 is Make Up Your Own Holiday Day, and we’re celebrating with a contest! Shall we celebrate the wonders of waffles? Have a dino-mite day with dinosaurs? Make everyone a pirate? It's all up to the imagination!
PRIZE:
The winning holiday will be announced on April 2 and will be celebrated at the Museum (date TBD) with a special craft, scavenger hunt and decorations! The winning family will receive a 4-pack of tickets to come celebrate their creation!
Contest is open to children ages 3-10. Deadline is March 24. Winner announced on April 2. niantickids.org for complete details.
Spring Classes Continue
Little Artists: Spring into Art
Tuesdays, April 1 – May 6 at 1pm
Join us as we create art each week to celebrate the springtime! Bugs and flowers and more will inspire our creations in this five-week class.
Little Scientists:
Go Go Garden Science
Thursdays, April 3 – May 8 at 10am
A class that can’t be beet! Join us as we learn about different types of plants each week. Vegetable plants, flowering plants, fruits, and vines, oh my! We’ll have a fun thyme learning and investigating with real life plants, seeds and more.

St. Patrick's Week
March 11-14 - 10am – 3pm
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day every day with a special craft and scavenger hunt available throughout the day.
Free with Museum admission.
Sensory-Friendly Evening:
Superhero Day
Friday, March. 21 - 5 – 7pm
Join us for a special evening, which is free for families with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing challenges. What a colorful world we live in! Participants will do various color mixing activities, experiment with color chromatography, use color wands and make rainbows.
Free to attend. Pre-registration required.

New London St. Patrick's Day Parade

We're rolling through downtown New London with our friends from New London Youth Affairs & TVCCA's Family Bridge for the St. Patrick's Day Parade! Keep an eye out for our giant leprechaun hat and Bronson the bulldog!

The Niantic Children’s Museum, Miracle League of Southeastern CT and East Lyme Youth Services Bureau are thrilled to announce their partnership with Child and Family Agency of Southeastern CT and East Lyme Parks & Recreation for the 2025 Niantic Touch-a-Truck!
While the event organizers may have changed, the mission of the event will stay the same: a day of discovery and fun for everyone! Kids can climb into the driver's seat, honk horns, and learn about the functions of various vehicles. The event will also feature food trucks, children’s entertainment and a number of local community organizations, each with its own hands-on craft or activity.
Admission is a $5 per person suggested donation.
