Northeast Georgia’s SpringHaus Farm Celebrates One-Year Anniversary and First 30 Weddings

Business and Professional

November 7, 2025

A spark was ignited in Ginger and Paul Metz when their oldest son was wed in 2013. The Ohio couple loved everything about the experience – particularly the sweet day at the heart of all the planning. It was a day filled with love, joy, smiles, happy tears, and both families coming together out of the love they all shared. While Ginger deeply valued her work as a nurse for over 30 years, and Paul had been a devoted firefighter for decades, they now had an inspirational vision for their retirement. After taking a leap of faith and moving to Comer, Georgia, that vision became a reality with the opening of SpringHaus Farm in October 2024. One year later, as word continues to spread about the rustic barn venue and outdoor ceremony site the Metz family built between a stand of towering pines, SpringHaus Farm has hosted 30 weddings and already has 15 on the books for 2026. Today, it’s a place where love begins, families gather, and countless special days become cherished parts of a story shared by the Metz’ and the couples they serve.

“We genuinely love getting to know our couples throughout the planning process,” shared Ginger. “They become like family. It’s such a privilege to walk alongside them as their vision takes shape, watching it all come together, and then having a hand in its unfolding on their big day. Each couple is unique, and no two weddings are alike. What may work for one couple may not work for another. It means so much when our couples lean into our expertise and realize how much Paul and I truly care about them and their day. Our favorite parts are when the groom sees the bride for the first time and when they share their first dance. As a mom and dad who love our kids, the father-daughter and mother-son dances get us every time.”

Lessons Paul and Ginger have learned over the past year are that it’s essential to have a timeline and a wedding coordinator, but it’s equally important to be flexible. In addition to the venue’s 5,000 SF heavy timber white oak barn and picturesque outdoor pine tree ceremony space, SpringHaus Farm offers:

  • Day of Coordinator and owners are always present to ensure a smooth event
  • On-site liquor license and dedicated bar
  • Exclusive access to 20 acres of photo op sites
  • Sizeable outdoor patio area that’s ideal for cocktail hour
  • Spiral staircase to upstairs wedding party suite
  • First-floor wedding party suite
  • Large catering kitchen with warming trays, refrigerator, ice machine, prep tables, and sweet tea brewer
  • 5' & 6' round tables and 8' farmhouse tables with chairs included
  • Access to free décor from Something Borrowed Closet
  • Thoughtfully designed packages to improve ease of planning

The Metz’ insist that they don’t do it alone. As small business owners who value community over competition, Paul and Ginger have built a network of other small business owners who provide invaluable services and help enhance every event. Included among them are:

  • Encanto Moments Photobooth
  • Events by Flowerbox
  • Everwood Photos
  • Valerie Detter Photography
  • Dream Chaser Productions
  • Keri L Photography
  • City BBQ catering
  • 72Que
  • Jax Shack
  • Chris Fuller Events DJ service
  • Heydaye Productions
  • Bold Spring Blooms

“It is important to us that all the vendors we recommend treat our couples how we treat them, like family,” added Ginger. “We love meeting new vendors and seeing what they have to offer. In 2026, we look forward to expanding our support for the Northeast Georgia community – that includes supporting other venue owners in the process.”

In addition to weddings, SpringHaus Farm is ideal for corporate events, dinner parties, bridal/baby showers, rehearsal dinners, anniversary celebrations, graduation parties, birthday parties, and more. It also plays host to its own events. On November 23, SpringHaus Farm will host a Chili and Chicken Mull contest, and on December 7, it will host its 2nd Annual Christmas Market from noon to 4 p.m. The event will include a raffle for the chance to win $3,000 off a 2026 wedding at SpringHaus Farm, with proceeds benefiting the Madison County Food Bank.

SpringHaus Farm is located at 296 Russell Drive in Comer, Georgia.
