Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Daniele Monroe-Moreno released the following statement on Nevada’s 1st Congressional District’s general election results:
“Congresswoman Dina Titus won her re-election and will once again serve Nevada’s 1st Congressional District. Congresswoman Dina Titus has spent her career advocating for working-class Nevadans. From UNLV to her leadership in the Nevada state legislature to the halls of Congress, her fighting spirit has helped shape the Silver State into the place we know and love today. Dina Titus has dedicated her entire professional life to education and public service. Throughout her political career, Dina has focused on protecting those most vulnerable, children, seniors, and the disabled. A teacher herself, she has always made quality education for all a priority and has been a strong advocate for the arts. Dina has worked tirelessly on issues to protect our environment and its creatures, push renewable energy development, and create more sustainable communities.
She has fought like hell for reproductive freedom in our state, being one of the legislators who led the charge to codify abortion rights in our state’s statutes. Dina championed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and took on the pharmaceutical industry to help lower the costs of prescription drug prices. She’s standing up to special interests to lower the cost of housing by stopping Wall Street from buying up homes in Nevada. Dina Titus will once again serve the residents of Nevada’s 1st Congressional District and continue the fight for reproductive freedom and to keep our communities safe.”
