Herbert Paul Albright, age 91, beloved husband of Marian Rose Busser Albright of Huntington, died peacefully on August 23, 2025 at the Apple Rehab-Shelton Lakes Health Care Center, surrounded by his family. Born in Stratford on October 21, 1933, he was the son of the late Frederick and Sophia Wagner Albright. Mr. Albright was raised in Stratford and was a longtime resident of Trumbull before moving to Shelton in 2001. He was an avid golfer and member of the Tashua Knolls Country Club of Trumbull. Mr. Albright was a Past President and dedicated member of the Trumbull Volunteer Fire Department, Station #2, Daniels Farm Road and served as a coach for Trumbull Little League. He was a lifelong outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his retirement years, Mr. Albright and his wife would spend the winter months at their home in Inverness, FL, where he enjoyed many area golf courses. In addition to his spouse of almost 70 years, he is survived by his devoted sons, James Albright of Beacon Falls and Bruce Albright and his wife Susan of Shelton; a cherished grandson, Matthew Albright and his wife, Courtney of Shelton; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Collins; brothers, Frederick, Clifford, Edward and David Albright and extended family - brothers, Bert and John Sheppard. Family and friends may call on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:30 PM at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A memorial service in celebration of Herbert’s life will be held at 6:30 PM. Interment will be private. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Sandra Cuevas for her compassionate care extended to Herbert in his time of need.
