The 2023 theme for Independence Day and 4th of July Parade is FREEDOM
Oak Harbor hosts a charming Independence Day celebration on the weekend leading up to the 4th. The quaint streets are filled with a friendly community and visitors enjoying a small-town parade. An old-fashioned street fair (complete with local food, arts, merch, and nonprofit vendors), car show, carnival, and a fabulous Firework’s Display on the evening of the 4th to wrap up the patriotic weekend.

4pm - 10pm: Carnival at the corner of Midway Blvd & Bayshore Dr
July 1, 2023
10am - 6pm: Street Fair (Arts & Crafts booths, Food trucks, Beer Garden) on SE Pioneer Way between City Beach St & Midway Blvd
12pm - 4pm: Car Show on SE Pioneer Way between Midway Blvd & SE Pasak
12pm - 10pm: Carnival at the corner of Midway Blvd & Bayshore Dr
July 2, 2023
12pm - 6pm: Street Fair (Arts & Crafts booths, Food trucks, Beer Garden) on SE Pioneer Way between City Beach St & Midway Blvd
1pm - 10pm: Carnival at the corner of Midway Blvd & Bayshore Dr
July 3, 2023
4pm - 6pm: Whidbey Wags Parade & Fair (parade for cats & dogs with their owners; fair with games, pools, snacks at the finish line) Parade starts in Windjammer Park at the west side kitchen, proceeds along the path closest to water, and finishes in Flintstone Park.
4pm - 10pm: Carnival at the corner of Midway Blvd & Bayshore Dr
July 4, 2023
11am - 2pm: Parade starting at Midway Blvd & SE Pioneer Way, proceeding down Midway Blvd to City Beach St toward SE Pioneer Way, finishing on SE Pioneer Way near Ace Hardware
12pm - 10pm: Carnival at the corner of Midway Blvd & Bayshore Dr
10pm-10:20pm: Fireworks in Windjammer Park
