Palouse Watercolors 50th Anniversary show, and sale will be held at Artisans at the Dahmen barn in Uniontown Washington June 2 through July, The Barn is open Thursday through Sundays 10am to 6pm. The opening reception for the show is set for 1-3 p.m. on Sunday June 2nd, with members present.

Artwork by members of the Palouse Watercolor Socius will be exhibited through July. The group was founded in 1974 by women studying art under the tutelage of University of Idaho professor Alf Dunn. Upon his retirement, and having a thirst to continue learning about art, a group of women including Linda Wallace, Penny David, Kay Montgomery, Rene Helbling, Jo Thompson, and Dorothy Shelton formed the Palouse Watercolor Socius. This year besides current members work for sale the Watercolor Society will be showing work by Alf Dunn, Malcolm Renfrow and Kay Montgomery. Its mission is to encourage and promote watercolor artists and foster an awareness of water media on the Palouse.
