7:00 pm: Runaway June
Strong-minded, soft-hearted, and wildly free-spirited, each member of Runaway June possesses the kind of powerhouse talent and radiant charisma that fully commands the spotlight. But when the three musicians sing together, their crystalline harmonies create an impact well beyond the sum of its parts and instantly stir up a whole world of feeling: sweet relief from heartache, escape from the everyday chaos, an unabashed freedom to shake off your inhibitions. With Runaway June’s career triumphs including earning nominations from the Academy of Country Music Awards and the CMT Music Awards, bringing their electrifying live set to spots on tour with Country icons like Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan, and scoring a major radio hit with their GOLD-certified breakthrough single "Buy My Own Drinks," the Nashville-based trio are now set to deliver a new chapter and their effervescent sound shines like never before.

"Smoke, Wine and Whiskey" - the three-track EP from the "next hot trend in country music" (Billboard) - is Runaway June’s first release in 2024 and project since signing with Quartz Hill Records last spring. Leading with the boot-stomping "Make Me Wanna Smoke," the instantly relatable song - which captures a conflicted heart struggling with love it can’t quit - made its debut on The Bobby Bones Show and is currently climbing the charts. Runaway June’s three-part harmonies remain front and center in two new tunes that complete the EP - playful "Fine Wine," and addictive "Miss Me," which depicts an all too familiar tale of drinking to forget the girl after a breakup.

7:00 pm: Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn
Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn, "the king and queen of the banjo" (Paste Magazine), have a musical partnership like no other. Béla Fleck is a fifteen-time Grammy Award winner who has taken the instrument across multiple genres, and Abigail Washburn a singer-songwriter and clawhammer banjo player who re-radicalized it by combining it with Far East culture and sounds. The two met at a square dance, began collaborating musically and eventually fell in love. Over the years, they played together most visibly in the Sparrow Quartet alongside Ben Sollee and Casey Driessen and informally at a pickin’ party here, a benefit there, or occasionally popping up in each other’s solo shows. Fans of tradition-tweaking acoustic fare eagerly anticipated that Béla and Abigail would begin making music together as a duo.

Fleck has the virtuosic, jazz-to-classical ingenuity of an iconic instrumentalist and composer with bluegrass roots. His collaborations range from his ground-breaking standard-setting ensemble Béla Fleck and the Flecktones to a staggeringly broad array of musical experiments. From writing concertos for full symphony orchestra, exploring the banjo’s African roots, to jazz duos with Chick Corea, many tout that Béla Fleck is the world’s premier banjo player. Washburn has the earthy sophistication of a postmodern, old-time singer-songwriter who has drawn critical acclaim for her solo albums. She has done fascinating work in folk musical diplomacy in China, presented an original theatrical production, and has contributed to singular side groups Uncle Earl and The Wu-Force. On stage, Fleck and Washburn will perform pieces from their Grammy-winning self-titled debut as well as their new record, Echo in the Valley (Rounder 2017). Whether at home, on stage or on record, their deep bond, combined with the way their distinct musical personalities and banjo styles interact, makes theirs a picking partnership unlike any other on the planet.
