MUSEUM ACQUISITIONS AND EXHIBITIONS

Delilah Montoya (b. 1955, Fort Worth, Texas)

The Amon Carter Museum of American Art recently acquired photographs by Delilah Montoya. The prints are from her series, El Sagrado Corazon, and from her series, Women Boxers: The New Warriors, and her more recent series, Contemporary Casta Portraiture: Nuestra “Calidad.”

Mario Algaze (1947 – 2022, b. Havana, Cuba)
The New York Public Library acquired two photographs by
Mario Algaze.

Earlie Hudnall (b. 1946, Hattiesburg, Mississippi)
The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston recently acquired four photographs, to add to their other holdings of Earlie Hudnall’s work.

Earlier this year, the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, acquired Hudnall’s joyful image, Mother with Sons, 1973.

Life as I See it: Earlie Hudnall, Jr. at the Grace Museum in Abilene, Texas. Opening October 14, 2023.

Solo exhibition (TBA) at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas, Beaumont, Texas. Opening December 16, 2023.
