Steven Karidoyanes conducts this gorgeous concert that pairs the principal bassist of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, Susan Hagen, with composer Simón García for the North American premiere of his Concerto for Amplified Double Bass. We’ll add more brilliant orchestral color with another perfect pairing: siblings Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn, together on the Phil stage for the very first time!
