Powell Gardens' Evergy Festival of Lights Returns this Winter with New Features and Extended Pathways!

Kingsville, Mo. – Powell Gardens is excited to announce the return of Kansas City’s favorite winter tradition, Evergy Festival of Lights at Powell Gardens (November 14 – January 4). This immersive holiday experience transforms the gardens with over a mile of sparkling lights, festive installations, and family-friendly activities.

Tickets are on sale now for the festival, which runs on select evenings from November 14, 2024 to January 4, 2025 (5-10 p.m.). Visit www.powellgardens.org/festival-of-lights to purchase tickets and plan your visit.  

NEW THIS YEAR:

Extended Light Path: The outdoor trail has been expanded to wind through the stunning Marlese Lowe Gourley Island Garden, offering an incredible view of Powell Gardens architecture and landscape.

Indoor Exhibit: A new botanical photography exhibit, Aliento a Tequila, will be on display in the Conifer Room. This exhibit is included with Evergy Festival of Lights admission and brings the perfect touch of warmth to your winter visit.  

Chapel Concert Series: Enjoy seasonal music in the iconic Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel, where acoustics and architecture blend for a memorable musical experience.

Immersive Snow Globe Installation: Step inside a wintry wonderland in the Visitor Center Conservatory, featuring a snow globe installation perfect for holiday photos.

Children’s Crafts: Offered each Thursday of the festival, young visitors can get creative with festive craft classes.
