We're back bigger and better!

Bringing all the very best in comics and collectibles to the Florence area! We will have comic artists, writers, and great comic related guests! There will be a plethora of comics, toys, costume apparel, and all sorts of pop culture memorabilia for all ages. There will also be a costume contest for all you cosplayers out there.

Kids:

Put on your best costumes and enter the kids costume contest!
Everyone is a winner!

Adults:

The adult costume contest will be divided into two categories:
Teens: 13 to 17 years old.
Adults: 18 and up.

Rules:

-All Cosplay Contest entrants are onstage at their own risk.

-Staff members are not eligible to participate in any category.

-NO blatant nudity/adult related content. This event is rated PG-13, and we are a family-friendly convention. Please use some discretion with your character, props and presentation. No profanity allowed on stage. That includes messages on signs or clothes. Anyone who violates this may be disqualified from the competition.

-Store-bought costumes are not eligible. Your costume must be one you made or modified yourself. Modifications will be carefully assessed  by our judges.

-Youth participants (ages 12 and under) may be accompanied by a parent/guardian, but it is not a requirement.

-Participants will be required to sign a liability release and a release for use of video and photo images.

-For safety reasons, the following are not allowed:

-Live animals

-Substances which might be messy

-Aerosol sprays

-Projectiles of any kind

-No pyrotechnics will be allowed including but not limited to: fire, flash powder, explosives, smoke bombs or fireworks.

-Prop weapons are allowed with restrictions. You are expected to act responsibly with your weapon.

-Entries with electric power requirements need to be self-contained.

-Real weapons are not allowed.

-All contestants must be  able to move their costume on their own.

-Audience members should be courteous and respectful. Please do not boo or shout negative things to contestants.

-Please come to the convention with everything you need to complete and/or assemble your costume.

-Venue security will conduct a weapons check at the door and eligibility is at their discretion.

-The Cosplay Director has the right to eliminate any entrant from the competition on the basis of taste, danger to the audience, violation of any of  the above rules or any other reason deemed derogatory to the event.
