RI Republican Party Chairman Joe Powers Condemns New Orleans Attack, Offers Condolences to Victims and Families

Warwick, RI -The Rhode Island Republican Party is heartbroken by the tragic events that unfolded early this morning in New Orleans. A senseless act of violence claimed the lives of at least ten people, left dozens injured, and impacted countless others in its wake.

Chairman Joe Powers extends his deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives. He also offers prayers for the swift recovery of the injured, including the brave first responders who put their lives on the line to protect others. “This is a heartbreaking day for our nation,” said Chairman Powers. “The cowardly actions of those who masterminded this horrific attack are beyond reprehensible. As Americans, we stand together in solidarity against such evil.”

 Chairman Powers expressed gratitude for the quick and courageous response of New Orleans law enforcement and first responders. “Our first responders are true heroes,” Powers stated. “Their bravery in the face of danger saved lives and reminded us of the sacrifices they make every day to keep us safe.”

Chairman Powers also highlighted President Trump’s commitment to restoring security across the nation.

“President Trump’s promise to Make America Safe Again begins on January 20th,” said Powers. “This attack serves as a tragic reminder of why strong, decisive leadership is needed now more than ever. Together, we will ensure that our communities are protected, and justice is served.”
