Tropical Christmas is a free extravaganza kicking off the holiday season with fun, festivities, fireworks and more. NOW a TWO day event with the evening activities to be held on FRIDAY, December 6, 2024 and the Festival Day activities to be held on December 7, 2024.

Friday, December 6, 2024

The event beings at 7:00pm on FRIDAY, December 6, 2024 at the Rockport Beach Park Road with the Illuminated Night Parade, Coloring Contest winners announced, Lighting of the Community Christmas Tree, LED Night Kite Display by the Surfside Flyers Kite Club, and for the grand finale, a spectacular fireworks display of the harbor.

At 4pm on December 6, 2024, the Rockport Beach Park will begin to offer free access for the viewing of the parade and fireworks.

Saturday, December 7, 2024

On Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Rockport Festival Grounds, adjacent to the Rockport Harbor the Tropical Christmas Festival will begin at 10:00am offering children’s programs, live entertainment, specialty vendors, food trucks, and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and The Grinch. The festival will wind down at 6:00pm.

*Coloring Contest sponsored by the Rockport Center for the Arts will be collecting art work until Saturday, November 23, 2024.  The contest is open to children in grades K-5th. Draw, Color, or Paint a picture about the Holiday Season (Limited to 9X12 inches or smaller) and put your name, school, grade, parent phone number/email. Contest winners will assist in lighting the Community Christmas Tree at the Tropical Christmas Festival Parade on December 6, 2024.
