It was a whirlwind week for the NH GOP Senate primary. Here’s what you need to know:

1. Scott Brown and Dan Innis Have Beef. 

• It didn’t take long for Dan Innis to start throwing haymakers at Scott Brown in an effort to go after Brown’s ties to Trump and stand out in the NH GOP Senate primary.
• Innis grilled Brown for not being loyal enough to Donald Trump, and last night it got personal.
• Innis had a bone to pick with Brown after he announced an endorsement from a New Hampshire Wagyu beef competitor. Clearly, no attack is off the table in this messy and chaotic primary. 

2. Sen. John Thune’s Interview Contributes to Growing Speculation About a New, Trump-Picked NH GOP Senate Primary Candidate. 

• Senate Majority Leader John Thune, a good friend of Scott Brown, was asked if he thinks Brown is “the best candidate to flip the seat” in New Hampshire during an interview with Brian Kilmeade. Thune’s response? “We’ll see. There may be some other developments in the New Hampshire race.” Ouch.
• Thune’s interview follows reports that “Trump himself is expected to get involved if an on-the-fence prospect needs a push,” specifically in New Hampshire’s Senate race, where “Trump aides currently are trying to land a recruit” to join the messy and chaotic primary with Brown and Innis.
• Potential candidates circulating the rumor mill include Trump’s disgraced advisor Corey Lewandowski, who has yet to officially rule out a 2026 run, and Phil Taub, who is also considering entering the race.  

3. Trump “Has Fully Invested Himself” in the Midterm Elections.

• In addition to dropping a hand-picked candidate into the NH GOP Senate primary, Trump is reportedly planning to “return to the stump and hold rallies” during the midterms – and there’s no doubt that New Hampshire will be on his list.
• Trump will find a less than warm welcome in New Hampshire, as voters continue to disapprove of his handling of the economy, his chaotic tariffs and trade war with Canada, and his big, ugly budget that cuts Medicaid and food assistance for thousands of Granite Staters and raises the federal deficit by trillions — just to give tax breaks to billionaires.
• Trump will also be an anchor for every Republican running to push his agenda. Trump has never won New Hampshire, and his disapproval rating continues to rise among Granite State voters – including independents, who comprise the largest voting bloc in the state.
