TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS COME - GREETINGS: 

DR 24-05: DECLARING DISASTER AREAS FROM MAY 8, 2024, SEVERE STORMS AND TORNADOS 

WHEREAS: On May 8, 2024, severe storms and tornadoes struck Arkansas and caused dangers, hardships, and suffering throughout the state, which in turn, warrants this executive action; and 

WHEREAS: Adverse circumstances have been brought to bear upon the citizens and public properties within Arkansas; and 

WHEREAS: These political subdivisions require supplemental assistance from the State to recover from these losses. 

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, acting under the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Arkansas, and pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. §§ 12-75-101, et seq., do hereby declare Garland County a disaster area and to authorize Public Assistance disaster relief for Garland County; 

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Arkansas to be affixed this 10th day of June, in the year of our Lord 2024.
