On Oct 11th, Governor Walz will outline the campaign’s plan to protect the jobs we have and create more across the state

LANSING — This morning (Oct 11th), Governor Tim Walz will speak forcefully about Donald Trump’s failed record on manufacturing and how the Harris-Walz ticket will build a stronger economy for the middle class, create jobs, and keep auto jobs right here in Michigan. His visit today is in stark contrast to yesterday when Trump not only insulted Detroit, but also spoke to Michiganders about his plan to line billionaires’ pockets.

“Tim Walz is a union man and he knows how important good-paying manufacturing jobs are,” said Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes. “Along with Vice President Harris, Walz will be a champion for working Michiganders — protecting our jobs and investing in our state to continue the manufacturing boom that we have experienced under Harris.

“If Trump gets back into office, he would once again sell out working Michiganders and ship our jobs overseas, while Harris and Walz will build a stronger, fairer economy to make Michigan a leader in manufacturing for generations to come. For our auto jobs, for our workers, and for our economy, Michiganders will send Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz to the Oval Office this November.”
