Michigan Dems Chair rejects Trump’s divisive language during his misinformation tour this weekend
LANSING — On Oct 25th, and Oct 26th, Donald Trump will hold rallies in Traverse City and Novi to peddle lies, despite the fact that his Project 2025 agenda will hurt workers in Michigan. Whether it’s refusing to protect hundreds of auto jobs or costing Michigan families an extra $4,000 every year, Trump’s Project 2025 would drag Michiganders back decades.
“Under Vice President Harris, Michigan Dems have been investing in manufacturing infrastructure to ensure that good-paying, union jobs start here and stay here,” said Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes. “Trump, on the other hand, has lied over and over about his agenda which will ship jobs overseas and hurt our economy. As president, Trump promised not one more plant would close on his watch, but as workers in Warren can tell you, that was yet another broken promise.
“Even his VP candidate J.D. Vance won’t help our workers — he refused to commit to protecting 650 auto jobs that we already have, so why would we believe that they would create jobs? The bottom line is, Donald Trump can say whatever he wants today, but Michiganders know that Kamala Harris is the only candidate who will protect our jobs and our economy”
