Just a few weeks after refusing to promise to save 650 auto manufacturing jobs in Lansing, Vance is coming to disappoint Michigan workers once again

LANSING — Tonight (Oct 24th), Trump’s running mate and MAGA puppet J.D. Vance is speaking in Oakland County about Michigan’s auto industry. Vance is going to spread lies about a fake EV mandate and Trump’s Project 2025 agenda while conveniently ignoring that they won’t protect hundreds of good-paying Michigan auto jobs in Lansing. 

“Simply put, neither Vance nor Trump have anything good to offer Michiganders, and voters know it,” said Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes. “Michigan auto jobs are at their highest level since 2007 because Democrats are investing in manufacturing to create jobs that will start here and stay here. 

“On the other hand, Trump, Vance, and their MAGA Republicans refuse to even commit to ensuring hundreds of Michiganders can keep their jobs at places like the GM plant in Lansing. Tonight will once again show that Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz are the only candidates who will protect American jobs.”
