Winter Storytimes
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. offers weekly storytimes for children. Storytimes meet at 10:30 am. On Mondays, Toddler Time meets for ages 0-2. On Tuesdays, Preschool Storytime meets for ages 3-5. Baby Lapsit meets on Thursdays for babies 0-18 months. Friday Fun offers stories and songs for ages 2-5. (No storytime on Feb 17). Painting Class: Impressionism
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer an Impressionism painting class on Monday, February 3 at 4pm for children ages 8-13. We will be discussing a few major impressionist artists. Then create your own impressionist-inspired work of art. No experience necessary, although participants should be comfortable with using paints. This program is sponsored by a grant from Westport Library courtesy of the staff and Roz & Bud Siegel. Registration is required. Kids Podcasting Club
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer a Podcasting Club for children ages 7-13 with a parent/guardian. This club will meet on Thursday, February 6 at 2:30pm. Valentine’s Day Grab ‘n’ Go Kit

Read To a Therapy Dog
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer a chance for children ages 6-12 to read to a therapy dog on Saturday, February 8 from 11:00-11:45am. Each child receives a fifteen minute turn with Ollie the Shih Tzu. Signups are on a first come, first served basis. Registration is required. LEGO Club
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer LEGO Club on Saturday, February 8 at 2:30pm and Wednesday, February 19 at 4pm. Children ages 5-12 are welcome to attend. Kids Lego Robotics Club
Join the Stratford Library Children’s Dept. for a Lego Robotics workshop on Wednesday, February 12 at 2:30 pm for children ages 7-12. Thanks to a grant from the Stratford Rotary Club, the Library now owns a LEGO Spike Essential kits, which combines LEGO building with some coding fun! Book Scientists
The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer Book Scientist kits for children ages 3-12.  Each kit includes books and activities. Books are selected based on the age of the child participating. February’s themes will be Friendship (February 14) and Royalty (February 28). Return the Library books when they are due and keep everything else! Registration is required. Ready for Kindergarten Grab ‘n’ Go

The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. is offering the Nutmeg Book Group for readers in grades 4 to 6. February’s pick will be “The Canyon’s Edge” by Dusti Bowling.
