From: Stratford LibraryFall/Winter Series Set Thru December 2025

The Stratford Library has announced that its “Books Over Coffee” program will continue for live, in-person meetings in the Lovell Room through December 2025. The monthly book discussion program, hosted by Stratford Library staffer Linda LiDestri, has been a popular staple at the library for over 50 years. It is free and open to the public.

The library continues to offer the latest in current titles and topics and on Wednesday, September 17 Mikki Brammer’s debut novel, The Collected Regrets of Clover, will kick-off the fall/winter series. The Collected Regrets of Clover is a big-hearted and life-affirming novel about a death doula who, in caring for others at the end of their life, has forgotten how to live her own. Brammer asks, “What’s the point of giving someone a beautiful death if you can’t give yourself a beautiful life?”

Other titles for “Books Over Coffee” 2025 include: Daphne DuMaurier’s gothic classic, Rebecca (October 29), Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi (November 19), and The Floating Feldmans by Elyssa Friedland (December 17).

“Books Over Coffee” begins at 12 noon in the Library’s Lovell Room. Copies of all books are currently available for loan at the library’s Circulation Desk. The titles are also available for loan on Kindle and Nook eReaders.
