From: Wildlife West Nature ParkJoin us for the summer Family Music Festivals at Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood which begin on the holiday weekend, Saturday, July 1st. The evening of family fun and music starts at 4:30 p.m. featuring the energetic and crowd favorite Watermelon Mountain Jug Band playing their unique musical instruments using washtub bass, jaw harp, washboard, kazoos, jugs, and various percussions as well as guitar and banjo, along with their 5-time State Champion Fiddle player. Then at 7 p.m. North Valley Tune Tanglers take the stage performing a spicy mix of diverse and vibrant tunes and songs from old Appalachia to New Mexico and beyond. Between performances visit the wildlife zoo and experience 20 species of native wildlife including 2 curious cougars, 4 adorable tree climbing grey foxes, howling coyotes, largest black bear in New Mexico, and all the other friendly wildlife and raptors. Enjoy dinner in the park from local venders and watch a free-flight raptor show.
Future Saturday night Family Music Festivals will be held on July 15 and 29, August 12 and 26, and Labor Day weekend September 2, 2023. Two bands perform at each Festival and all performances are held in an all-weather covered amphitheater with an old west atmosphere.
