From: Ann Arbor Folk FestivalHappy New Year!
Here at The Ark we are focused on this month’s Ann Arbor Folk Festival coming up on Friday, January 27 at The Ark (sold out) and on Saturday, January 28 at Hill Auditorium (great tickets still available!), but February is just around the corner and we have a great lineup of shows at the club all month long!
We’re going to kick things off with compelling new artist, Buffalo Nichols (February 2) who is striving to put more Black stories into the genres of folk and blues. Other highlights of the month include Laith Al-Saadi on 2/5, a long-awaited album release show from local favorites Misty Lyn & The Big Beautiful on 2/17, and jazz guitar great Bill Frisell in an intimate solo performance on the 19th. Plus, don’t miss The Ark’s 36th annual Storytelling Festival (February 24-26) which expands to three days this year with our first ever Liars Contest on Friday 2/24, and features fan favorite Bill Harley on Saturday 2/25 and Sunday 2/26.
Please find show details and artist photos for all of our February events in the Dropbox folder linked below, and don’t hesitate to reach out to me with questions and any other promotional needs.
