The Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival holds its TWENTIETH edition April 14-16 at the Collins Road Theatres, 1462 Twixt Town Road, Marion, Iowa. CRIFF will celebrate the work of filmmakers from across the state and around the country, all with connections to Iowa.

Ninety-nine films were submitted for consideration, the most since 2007! Our distinguished panel of judges awarded 51 with Official Selection status. These films will go on to compete for Gold and Silver Eddy Awards and Audience Choice and Iowa Connection Awards, as well as a $1000 Collins Road Theatres Scholarship, which will be handed out at the Eddy Awards Ceremony, presented by Farmers State Bank.

New this year is Student Cinema Sunday, a special screening of student films. At the close of this event, we’ll present the Student Audience Choice Eddy Award!

The Official Selections represent a wide variety of features, shorts, documentaries, music videos, and experimental films at Student, ProAm and Professional levels.

The Festival is open to the general public, and the Saturday night Eddy Awards Ceremony, presented by Farmers State Bank, is free with any other Festival ticket purchase. For pricing and purchase, visit our Tickets Page.
